Azerbaijan’s industry displays highest growth rates across CIS

Across the CIS, industrial production in the first half-year 2006 grew in average by 5.5% compared to 4.5% in first half-year 2004, Trendreports with reference to the CIS Intergovernmental Statistical Committee.

RBC reports the highest growth rate in industry was recorded in Azerbaijan (41.1%), Byelorussia (12.6%) and Turkmenistan (22.4%). Industry declined in Armenia by 1%, in Kyrgyzstan by 6.8% and in Moldavia by 6.4%.
